Namaste, Sara Andreis
The person who's leading us through the Indian world, filtering it through her experience and personality, is Sara Andreis. She's an Italian woman that lives in Trivandrum for good. She also teaches Italian to Gruppo Zenit's Indian employees inside the Technopark.
Her lively and curious eye captures the elements of interest in everything she sees, transforming them in a true passion. Theater and other forms of local performances, marionettes above all: her love for animals (her sister's little dog, or the cats she has to settle all the times before a big trip) – these are the little things that transform her life in a beautiful Indian adventure or a treasure's hunt.
Instead of a simple biography, we’d like to describe her through the stories and adventures she narrates us on Skype. Sara is like princess Nautanki, a woman whose weight is five petals of flower, but she’s also capable to become a warrior to defend everything she believes in.
Just like the protagonist of another Indian tale, she offers pills of wisdom on little pieces of paper; moreover, she knows the truth behind it and she’s aware of the fact that a little laugh goes a long way, like the witty Birbal.
She sounds on the verge of tears when she tells the story of Nilakantan temple’s elephant, but she can be cold-blooded enough to guide us through Indian’s bureaucracy.
Day after day, we will share with you Sara’s knowledge.
One of her first posts taught us the meaning of the common Indian salutation “Namaste?, with which she regarded us from the very beginning.
So, Namaste to you too!
